It is true of course, that some people are more attractive than others when it comes to a body or a face. Our society puts so much emphasis on the body and not enough on the inside. My creator does not do that (I have to go biblical on you guys now); “In 1 Samuel 15:7- Don’t judge by a man’s face or height... I don’t make decisions the way you do! Men judge by outward appearance but I look at a man’s thoughts and intentions” Always remember all that matters is what is on the inside of our hearts. Is your heart your UGLY? is the question to be to asked and not focusing on our outward appearance. I will take you guys on a quick throw back into my teenage days; I remember in school, my class mates would tease me about my open teeth and my fish eyes. I can never forget this comment a girl (she was mixed raced, tall, beautiful, long dark hair to her bum, basically everything perfect (KMT)) made, “Sylvia the gap in your tooth is so big I can fit a £2 coin in there and your eyes they are f****** scary” I was 13 years old at the time, I felt so UGLY, how mean was that? 10 years now I look back and I laugh so hard now any time I remember that comment. So you can understand the point I am trying to make, that comment stuck with me for all these years, just imagine how I felt as that young 13 year old teenager. I can still see myself running home after school to my mum asking her, was God being wicked to me by giving me all these UGLY features. How could I ever say that about my creator, I know he forgives me now, I was only stupid and ignorant. Now I know so much better, my open tooth and big fish eyes all make me who I am. Without these so called UGLY features, I wouldn't be me, call me crazy but the thought of that makes me feel so special to think that God made me this way. So when next you are thinking “damn this.............. makes look so UGLY, think again, look closely and realise it is indeed what makes you beautiful. In other news, I AM UGLY & PROUD! Great post Sylvia. I can totally relate, funnily enough the features I used to be teased for & that I hated when I was younger are actually the ones I love the most now because although they may seem like flaws to other, they are what makes me unique :)

Interesting reading. I think it is all to do with maturity. You get to certain age and you see things differently.
