You may call me crazy or over dramatic, but attending London Fashion Week this year, has to be one of the biggest highlights in my blogging career thus far.
It was such an amazing experience. A month before, I had already started making plans on my outfits and planning my networking scheme. Finding my outfits turned out to be a lot easier than I thought, so that box was ticked 3 weeks prior to the show. The next task was to design my business card for networking, which involved a whole lot of research. Mt end result was great if I say so myself. Unfortunately for me, I had tonsillitis and honestly this did little or nothing for my confidence. I remember waking up on the Friday morning thinking, “there is no way I am going to attend LFW feeling like death”. I planned on arriving to Somerset house for about 10am to give myself the time to soak up all that fashion atmosphere. Well that was a fail, I ended up arriving at Somerset house for about 4pm (what a joke right!). I remember that feeling of excitement as I walked in to Somerset House, my cold and tonsillitis was long gone (hahahaaaaa). If you are from the fashion world, you will know that LFW is predominately channelled towards fashion designers, buyers, bloggers and enthusiast. Although there is that whole culture of ‘invite only’ when it comes to the fashion shows, I love how the British Fashion Council makes this season event accessible in many other ways. One the greatest benefits of attending LFW is the opportunity you get to network with other fashion enthusiasts in the most informal way, but still achieving your aims. It felt pretty awesome handing out my business cards and discussing about my blog to the bloggers and photographers that I met.One of the highlights of being at LFW for me was having various photographers stopping you and taking your pictures (my little moment of stardom). I also enjoyed checking out people’s styles and also getting more fashion inspiration. I will stop rambling now and let you enjoy the post. Keep an eye for my Day 2 at LFW 2015.Happy Read!
