A food review? Well this is a new one for ChiChi Caramel, but why not. My friends have always asked why I don’t do food reviews, and the simple answer is that I never have the time to actually go out to eat. I have now decided to always make it a habit to go out every week to a restaurant, enjoy the atmosphere and of course the food. I am not making any promises, but there should be at least a restaurant review every month. Newly opened BBQ smoke house RED’S TRUE BBQ is fast becoming the pitmaster king of Nottingham, using only the top quality cuts of meat, Red’s True BBQ offers authentic and traditional methods of BBQ cooking to its customers. It had been a long week, I definitely deserved a nice girly date with my beautiful friend, to just gossip and have a laugh. When we got to the restaurant, my goodness the queue was so long, and the whole place was seriously packed. Good thing my friend had booked a table for us, so I will suggest before you go, make sure you book a table. As the waiter walked us to our table, I couldn’t help but notice the 666 sign on the walls (hmmm I was a bit frightened at this point), but I still proceeded to our table. As we sat down, I was constantly fanning myself to reduce the heat, coming from the grills (I will suggest that they have a closed off grill from the customers). The waiter brought us our menu, which was in form a bible, with a fork and spoon placed in an upside down cross sign (spooky ayyyy!) After looking through the menu, which kept saying AMEN after every food choice, I opted for a Classic Bacon Burger (boring right!), while my friend opted for their New Juicy Lucifer Burger (hmm!) and the restaurants classic home made lemonade juice. I think we got greedy ordering the sweet potato fries (but you gotta have chips!) Freshly made with a crispy skin and fluffy piping hot flesh. The pickled jalepeno slaw was lightly dressed keeping the thinly shredded vegetable crunchy and fresh. Tangy, sour with a hint of heat. I gave my burger a 6/10, so definitely not the best burger I have ever eaten. Red True BBQ is the go to restaurant for good wholesome Southern BBQ food. This is not a hipster joint! City boys, girl’s night out, couples and foodies alike all dinned together. The staff were so helpful, the place was rammed but as I watched the food being served to customers the flow of it all was seamless. Prices are typical of any American style restaurants, but be sure to expect to have good tasting food. However, for some reason, I still feel like I DINED WITH DEVIL! The question is will I recommend this restaurant? NO, we need to be more careful of what we eat and where we go in this world today, as a believer in Christ, this restaurant didn't sit right with me, and there were a lot of ANTI-CHRIST connotations to it. If you are not religious, it is definitely place to check out, I’m sure you will enjoy the food. I hope you enjoyed this review, very new for me, but I enjoyed writing this for you guys. I have linked below the restaurants website, be sure check it out for you. Come forth to Queen Street to feast at the altar of meat.
